EMD 265 : ウィキペディア英語版
EMD 1010

The EMD 1010 is a line of 4-stroke (4-cycle) diesel engines manufactured by Electro-Motive Diesel, named for its displacement per cylinder, just as its 2-stroke (2-cycle) predecessors. The 1010 was originally introduced in 1995 as the 265H or H-Engine, with the numerical designation reflecting the diameter of the bore in millimeters and the letter reflecting the design of the block. Intended for use in the EMD SD90MAC line of locomotives in both 4000hp and 6000hp configurations, the H-block engine was found to be unreliable and was quickly replaced in EMD's lineup with upgraded versions of EMD's proven 710 design. The EMD 265 engine was resurrected in 2015 due to the failure of the 710 to acceptably meet EPA Tier 4 emissions regulations. Re-branded the 1010, the block designation was changed to J to reflect changes to new power assembly and block designs, as well as the addition of a third turbocharger (from two on the 265), and thereby substantially changing the induction and after-cooling systems. The 1010 family is the most powerful diesel engine currently produced by EMD.
==H-Engine==

The 265,〔http://cs.trains.com/trn/f/741/t/239593.aspx?page=1〕 named for its bore, 265mm, but its displacement per cylinder was also 1010 cu. in., was not successful in North America (the few which were produced for the North America market were removed from service and were scrapped), but the 265 was popular overseas, particularly in China, also India.
Usage in locomotives included the EMD SD90MAC,〔 the unique prototype EMD SD89MAC (currently stored), and the 300-strong China-only EMD JT56ACe. The SD90MAC series was constructed in the 1990s for Union Pacific,〔 Canadian Pacific; and Australian mining railroads. Considered unsuccessful in the domestic market due to reliability issues and limited operational flexibility of the 6300 horsepower 265H engine, all 265H-powered versions in North America and Australia have been repowered with 4300 horsepower 16V710G engines or scrapped.
This engine could be identified as a 1010H, without introducing ambiguity, as the later 1010 is most properly identified as a 1010J.
